A Step-by-Step Guide on How to Use our Planner
Every year, as summer rolls past us, many of us begin to dread the upcoming new year—mostly because we’re reminded of how much we’ll need to organise the minute we step back into our classrooms. Four walls filled with laughter, sighs, and concentration… but only if we’re prepared enough to keep it that way.
That is why, as a teacher myself, I set out to create the most efficient way to ensure our working lives are smoother and more manageable, just before the next academic year kicks its way in. Planners For Teachers isn’t just another company producing meaningless pages that don’t truly support you. Instead, we have one clear mission: to design planners so well thought-out and tailored to your needs that you won’t be scrambling to remember everything you’ve forgotten to do.
Wondering how it does this? Here’s a guide through five of our best features:
To start, the planner includes a ‘Goals for the Year’ section, ready for you to outline the objectives you wish to achieve before the school year comes to an end. Not only does this set you up positively for the year ahead, but it also gives you a simple checklist to return to whenever you need a reminder. And we all know how satisfying it is to tick things off with our green pens.
Whether your goals involve tracking student progress more consistently, attending every CPD session, or simply building new teaching strategies, there’s a dedicated space for it—one you can return to whenever needed. As the shades of green deepen across the boxes, you might choose to increase the challenge of your goals too… or keep them simple. The magic is that it’s completely up to you.

While a calendar is always helpful in a planner, our ‘Save the Date’ page alongside it gives you that extra bit of room to jot down key events for each month, so nothing important slips your mind.
Mapped out chronologically from August to July, this yearly overview allows you to note deadlines, meetings, trips, assessments, or anything else that may be coming your way. It’s a simple page that offers a quick-glance snapshot of your entire year.

With jam-packed schedules like ours, having a space to note down every detail for upcoming lessons is essential. For that reason, we’ve designed weekly overview pages with clear columns for each day and tidy blocks for each lesson—everything in one organised place, exactly where you need it.
The blush-pink boxes in between are your gentle reminder to finally eat that piece of fruit rolling around at the bottom of your bag during lunch. Food is fuel, as they say—and we teachers always need a reminder of that.
Beyond food, staying hydrated can feel almost impossible with the way we run marathons around our classrooms. However, our H₂O tracker at the top of the page is here to help, ensuring that you reach your recommended intake even while on your feet. And of course, we haven’t forgotten the energy tracker, ready for you to shade in as the week unfolds.
Because losing track of time is practically part of the job, we’ve also added a mini calendar for the following month at the bottom of the page—helping you keep everything in check with no fuss.

Lesson planning is truly just one side of the job. The administrative side is practically a whole different territory. From raising behavioural concerns with guardians to passing important information to the Safeguarding Lead, there are countless moments when communication becomes just as crucial as teaching itself.
That is why our ‘Communication Log’ is designed to give you one dedicated space to record the details of conversations, phone calls, or emails. With so much going on, it’s far too easy for these details to be forgotten—this section ensures they stay with you.

Celebrating every win, big or small, lies at the heart of building positive teacher–student relationships. To make this easier, we’ve included dedicated pages of “A Note From My Teacher” certificates.
Each slip offers ready-made reasons for success, complete with a simple checkbox that you can tick to highlight what the student has excelled in. The array of colours adds an extra special touch, helping students feel truly recognised and valued for their hard work.
Whether they’ve shown resilience in challenging moments, demonstrated respect, or been determined to complete their work, they deserve to have those moments spotlighted. After all, so much of our job revolves around celebrating them. And what better way to do that than with a space entirely devoted to acknowledging the qualities that make us proud to do what we do?
